This webcast is the third and final webcast from a unique series titled “Patient Safety During Bedside Procedures in the ICU," from the Project Dispatch Series, held in collaboration with the Surgery Section Patient Safety Committee. According to the FDA, hundreds of surgical fires occur in the United States each year. In this webcast, Soham Roy, MD, FACS, FAAP, will discuss improving the surgical team’s ability to classify, assess, prevent, and manage the risk of fires. The implementation of tools and practices to reinforce this safety culture will be emphasized.
