The sepsis bundle has been central to the implementation of the Surviving Sepsis Campaign® (SSC) guidelines since their initial publication. Developed separately from recommendations in the guidelines, the 3- and 6-hour bundles have been cornerstones of sepsis quality improvement. The SSC Hour-1 Bundle was recently released in response to the publication of the 2016 SSC guidelines to improve time to treatment for patients with sepsis. In this webcast, experts cover the following learning objectives and respond to questions from the audience. Learning Objectives: Recognize changes in the SSC hour-1 bundle, modified from the earlier 6- and 3-hour bundles. Articulate the relationship between the hour-1 bundle and the 2016 SSC guidelines. Discover opportunities to apply the hour-1 bundle to enhance the care and management of patients with sepsis and septic shock.
