Clinical trials are resource-intensive exercises that provide valuable information to guide the approach to clinical care. Although uncommon in critical care, the amount of data and knowledge generated from clinical trials may extend far beyond the initial aims. This webcast will provide an overview of post hoc analyses using clinical trial data. Topics include prespecified versus newly generated analyses, using stored specimens for additional testing, and the limitations of using clinical trial data in the post hoc setting.
