Description: What Critical Care Clinicians Need to Know About Vaping: Addressing Real-life Cases with a CDC Overview, is part 1 of a two-part webcast series from the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM). It will take place at 12:00 noon Central Time on October 30, 2019. This webcast series will address the current vaping crisis in the United States by helping clinicians better diagnosis and manage this difficult patient population. The first webcast will include a Centers for Disease Control (CDC) overview of the current data and science regarding vaping as detailed by a CDC representative. Knowledgeable faculty will also walk participants through three case studies of patients who were affected by vaping. The webcast will be moderated by Jennifer Layden, MD, PhD, chief medical officer and state epidemiologist of the Illinois Department of Public Health.
