Independently assess your critical care knowledge gained during fellowship training through the Multidisciplinary Critical Care Knowledge Assessment Program (MCCKAP). The MCCKAP examination is offered online and consists of 200 multiple-choice questions pertaining to critical care knowledge and patient management. Based on national standards, the examination content is developed by multidisciplinary critical care practitioners experienced in examination preparation and analysis.

Gain beginner point-of-care ultrasound skills to assist in the management of patients with cardiac arrest and sepsis. This one-day interactive course focuses on acquisition of a single subcostal cardiac window and limited lung examination. High-fidelity simulation will be used to apply a protocolized approach to managing patients with cardiac arrest during pulse, rhythm, and echocardiography checks.

Investigator-Initiated Studies in the ICU

It is often challenging to secure funding to conduct randomized controlled trials (RCTs) in the ICU. Clinician-scientists must serve as advocates and search for funding to conduct studies that answer important patient-centered questions.

This webcast will provide guidance on identifying research questions, designing high-quality research proposals, and implementing a funded investigator-initiated research study in the ICU clinical setting.
